Busy Busy Busy

After a few months of selling vintage clothes solo, Brian took interest in the shop and from now on he'll be handling most of the "business" aspects of it to actually turn it into a business.  I'm kind of a scatter brain, so he's creating templates and spreadsheets to keep me organized.  My goal is to open a boutique one day and sell vintage and handmade stuff and maybe even cosign with other people.  I kind of already started consigning with my sister and Kelly.  Both had some vintage designer pieces they didn't want so they gave them to me to list and sell and we'll be splitting profits.  Let's just hope I can get my hands on some more designer things real soon!

Now on to the other business...I will be selling my jewelry at the next Art is Hard art show at the Leaky Lifeboat.  I'm pretty excited because I was trying to avoid doing the craft fair because I wasn't sure of what kind of crowd would be there.  But this is the fifth art show at the bar and I've been in and gone to a few before this, so I know what the general crowd will be like.  I think I have a lot more chances at selling to people at the bar.

Alright, so I guess that's it for now...I'll be posting some pictures later this week of some new pieces listed (in either shop).

Shop

My etsy store is finally up.  I don't have as many items as I would have wanted to by now, but I'll be adding more soon.  I can't decide whether or not I want to set up lights and photograph the items without a model or not.  Hmm...Maybe I'll do it without the model, but replace the images when I get a model.  Decisions, decisions.  All I know is that I can't really do anything until I get my chores done.  We are expecting a pretty bad hurricane this weekend and I need to get everything done before I run out of time!  I guess I shouldn't be sitting on my computer updating my blog...

So I will leave you with some photos from a couple of shoots I did for the shop...And remember to visit is at www.historyshopny.etsy.com!!!
